4th Edition – Beresheeth
From the Guardian Angel by Skip Moen
Taught by Matthew Moshe Nolan.
Ppt. 1, 2 &3 Chavah: חבר a fence around a person in a house: Adam’s guide, his protector, his helper, provider and his rescuer.
Ezer Knegdo – the helpmate, it’s built into her DNA, she operates on that frequency regardless of whether he, her husband, recognizes her design or not.
Because of who woman is man can leave the guidance, provision, protection, help, and safety of his family …because she embodies all these qualities for him to cleave unto.
We must remove ourselves from the misogynistic interpretations of culture and religion. In YHWH’s realm no one dominates, both work alongside each other for the benefit of the others welfare. One without the other diminishes the image of YHWH in the world.
Melek- Tzadik – we’re equal heirs – women were designed to be servant priests, as covenant bearers, as perfect partners.
Gan Ayden – The Garden of Eden: The word Ayden, is both masculine and feminine – a word that describes the many pleasures that The Creator bestows upon His creation. It describes intimate sexiness – sexual delight – Ber 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am grown old shall I have pleasure-Eden – עדנ, my master being old also? עדנ- experiencing the door of life – Yeshua!
Ppt. Beresheeth 1:26 And Elohim said, Let Us make man in Our image,
after Our likeness. Tselem and Demuth – masculine and feminine nouns. To stand against chaos is to be human.
So to be in YHWH’s image and likeness means to desire to have control or authority over chaos/sin – it’s not limited to the natural realm, as modern man lives, but to master sin and serve The Creator.
Ppt. Male & Female: Zakar & Neqevah
An e.g. of the Zakar: Tehillim 103:18 To those who keep His covenant and remember-zakar His precepts-mitzvoth to do them.
Neqevah: like unto Ez 28:13 a prepared setting for precious stones (a boundary, a beautifully created setting – aren’t we living stones?)
2nd Chr 28:15 Neqevah: to appoint to a high office.
She’s our boundary setter. She’s specifically equipped for a high office or a royal appointment.
We are created to have full sufficiency under The Creator verses insufficiency under self-determination.
There is only one thing that follows the only prohibition that YHWH gives to Adahm. His need for a Ezer Kenegdo-suitable helper. So she is connected to the command to obey. Adam doesn’t need a helper in manual labor – to assist him in the landscaping – but help in being faithful to YHWH’s teaching and instruction. Adam needs a protector, an encourager and a spiritual director for the purpose of guiding his obedience. She’s the one who stands between YHWH’s command and Adam’s obedience, watching over him so he won’t go astray. Adahm Shamar’s-guards the garden, Chavah guards Adam – a relationship of trust.
PPt + 2 Ish-man & Ish-sha-woman:
She will use her strength to either consume (complimenting his role) or destroy-(opposing his role with force). Woman is the ultimate multi-tasker, she’s created to face two directions at once: one toward her man and the other to oppose him, all depending on how his Halacha/walk is before YHWH.
She’s either his strongest ally or his strongest opposer – perfect nourisher and sustainer or perfect enemy.
The sages say: Man איש when you remove the י you have אש aish-fire.
Woman – אשה remove the ה and you have אש – fire. Meaning in the heart of every man and woman is a consuming fire. When they marry, two fires are brought together that are capable of consuming each other – the only way the fire is contained is when יהוה is invited into their midst, upon which he deposits the first letter of His divine name, the י, and the last letter of His divine name, the ה into their presence which brings the kadosh fire of His ruach. Beware of two consuming fires – The Burton’s.
PPt +2 Ezer Kenegdo: a masculine word.
It’s usage: Shemot 18:4 And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the Elohim of my abba, said he, was my help, and delivered me from
the sword of Pharaoh:
Devarim 33:7 And this is the blessing of Yahudah: and he said, Listen,
vuvh, to the voice of Yahudah, and bring him to his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be a help to him from his enemies.
Tehillim 33:20 Our being waits for vuvh; He is our help and our shield.
70:5 But I am poor and needy: make haste to me, O Elohim: You are my help and my Deliverer; O vuvh, make no delay.
115:9 O Yisrael, trust in vuvh: He is their help and their shield.
146:5 Blessed is he that has the El of Yaakov for his help, whose tikvah is in vuvh his Elohim:
YHWH is the Ezer of his chosen people.
Ezer from Azar, which means an enclosure, a military aid.
Basically, if the husband is worthy his wife will be an Ezer -helper, and if he’s unworthy she’ll be Kenegdo – against him, opposing force.
Her test: She is to embrace the borders of her strength, but not to exceed them, or she’ll be propelled toward choosing to be a better Ezer than YHWH created her to be.
Ppt. “Man (not the Ezer Kenegdo) shall leave his mother and father and shall cleave to his wife and they shall become Besar Echad.”
Besar Echad-to be yoked together, but not limited to yoked, yoked and pulling together in the same direction for the same purpose and goal.
ATSAV: The lives of Adam and Eve now experience sorrow – Atsav – to be sad, to grieve, to become tired and weary, to become irritated, to writhe, to be bitter, to feel disgust, anguish, trouble, toil and turmoil – the consequences in the husband and wife relationship that is the result of sin (we can overcome). As the man attempts to fulfill his divine commission he will experience these things, likewise the woman also. They both are alienated from whence they came, he is alienated from the Adamah, and she is alienated from Adam.
Havah’s consequence: Bereisheis 3:16 Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; הרון herown in sorrow עצב `etseb you shall bring out children; and your desire תשוקה tĕshuwqah shall be to your husband, and he shall rule משל mashal over you.
Ppt. Hebrew: Equal weights and measures. Adam came form the Adamah/ground, the Adamah/ground will resist him. Chavah came from Adam and now Adam will resist her, resist her calling in sorrow. The curse is not limited to a moment in the woman’s life (childbearing), whereas the man is left with the curse of toiling every, and all the days of his life. No, the woman will experience the consequences daily, in the relationship realm – where in childrearing there will be Atsav – sorrow, pain. There will be increased pain and sorrow in your childrearing days! Added trauma will accompany child rearing, not childbearing, the issue isn’t about procreation, it’s about relationships. Once disharmony is introduced into humanity, all relationships suffer including Teshuwqah – desire and Mashal – rule. Chava’s experience of toil is just as prolonged as Adam’s. It lasts a lifetime.
Ppt. Being drawn away by the turning. Teshuwqah/Desire/Turning: Tesuwquah is an unbelievable energy that is contained within us all, we feel, experience it and must master it to create heaven around us. Teshuwqah is what it means to be human, woman. It must be domesticated not erased. To domesticate Teshuwqah is to be meek, have an inner spirit of control and divine assurance of His presence in your life. Unbridled it is passion without YHWH’s judgment; it’s creative desire without divine discipline, as it is written in James, the precursor to sin.
A horny Dominican monk named Pagnino, in 1528 translated, for the first time teshuwqah into the Latin equivalent of lust! His translation became the basis for nearly every translation thereafter for the next 450 years until the early 1980’s when female scholars started to have access and delve into the ancient texts. Of twelve of the most ancient texts 21 out of 28 texts translates the Hebrew teshuwqah not as desire or lust but turning. So we’ve all been raised understanding Chava’s relationship to Adam, and consequently wives relationships to their husbands with the WRONG English word!
In summary: Our wives will desire to return to their Yah given roles as spiritual guides and protectors to their husbands, yet they experience our resistance, just as the earth resists Adam, we as Adam’s resist our wives who came from our sides. Their turning will be for the former role they had with their husbands an we resist their turning! Her destiny is opposed by the very one who once recognized her perfect suitability. Like Adam, she is alienated from the source of her substance – the man.
James 4:1 From where do wars and fighting among you come? Do they not come from your desires that war in your members? 2 You desire, and have not: you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: you strive and fight; yet you have not, because you ask not.
James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own desires, and is taken away. 15 Then when desire has conceived, it births sin: and sin, when it is spread, brings forth death.16 Do not go astray, my beloved Yisraelite brothers.
Ber 4:6 And vuvh said to Qayin, Why are you angered and annoyed? And why is your face displaying hate? 7 If you do well, shall you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at your door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.
When you are drawn away by the turning it’s because sin attempts to turn you and draw you unto it, thus taking you away from your calling, yet when you feel the turning arise inside of you, realize it’s been set there to turn you toward YHWH, toward righteousness and if you ask YHWH in prayer you’ll do well in his sight. Turning isn’t the problem; it’s mastering it and using it as its intended to be used.
Ppt. It isn’t Adams nakedness that needs to be covered; it’s the fact that he’s an idolater that is the shame of his nakedness. Shame is being discovered without a relationship to YHWH. It’s the ultimate foolishness, the ultimate humiliation. Shame is the awareness that he’s naked, that he’s transparent to others with something to hide. He recognizes his nakedness, because he has something to hide. So, restoration is a return to an unashamed existence where I am no longer afraid to be exposed. Adam insisted that he only followed Eve’s direction; he demonstrates the Ezer Kenegdo model…. he was willing to follow her direction.
Her name: “Chava” – the word “chivya” means snake in Aramaic.
Adam therefore kept the basic meaning of her name to
refer to her being the mother of all humans while hinting
at the damage caused by her listening to the snake.
When Adam named Eve he raised himself as her authority and demotes her to the level of the animals. He assigned a hierarchy of authority that replaced YHWH’s original design.
Healing is the return to YHWH’s authority – Sholiach’s, navi’s, evangelists, rabbis and teachers.
Husbands and wives – trust without truth leads to sin.
Women – beware of using YHWH to get what you want:
Ber 4;1 And Ahdahm had known 2 Chavah his wife; and she conceived, and bore Qayin, and said, I have gotten a man from vuvh.
Eve employed YHWH, as her partner to get what she wanted, a being who would accept her as Ezer. Instead of looking to her husband, she transferred her embedded need in the wrong direction, a misdirection of the need to be accepted, as the Ezer Knegdo will cause a realationary breakdown. Cain means weapon, Cain is the weapon of Eve’s revenge. Manipulation is at the heart of relationary breakdown.
Relationships can be restored by men starting to put their wives as a seal over their hearts and arms and wear them as crown upon their head (that’s a spiritual authority)
Shir Ha Shirim 8:6 Set me as a seal upon Your lev, as a seal upon Your
arm: for ahava is strong as death…
Ppt. Ladies, listen: The Ezer Kenegdo doesn’t sin in her weakness she sins in her strength. She takes her Elohim given capacity and power and uses it for her own purposes. If a wife has an agenda for her husband she’ll use her undomesticated teshuwquah, power and passion to drive her husband toward tragedy, in essense she’ll defeat her husband.
Beresheeth 16:2 And Sarai said to Avram, See now, vuvh has restrained
me from bearing: Please, go in to my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her; And Avram listened to the voice of Sarai.
Ppt. As went Eve, so went Sarah, so go all women unless…Hagar is the forbidden fruit, it’s good for sustenance, good to the eyes and promises to provide something that is missing, Sarah takes of the fruit and gives to Abram using the same words as Eve.
Sarah isn’t fulfilling her role. She’s supposed to be the spiritual guide listening to Ruach Ha Kodesh and nurturing their relationship toward YHWH’s purposes. Ppt.
Ppt. Paul and women:
- Context.
- 1st Tim 2:11 – Timothy is dealing with disruptions within his ministry.
- “All speak in tongues, all prophecy.” A public audible voice, so how can all do this if women are to be silent? What about “neither male or female” the removal of distinctions?
- Miriam, Devorah, Yael spoke out, prophesied and prayed, they were not silent in the TaNaKh. Is Paul going against the TaNaKh?
Translators assume “women” in the text is a singular class noun relating to all women whereas the text doesn’t say that, it could just as well mean a particular woman, which would be more in line with Torah.
1st Timothy 2:11 Let the woman (singular, plural was used earlier in V.9 why the switch to singular?) learn in silence with all subjection. 2
12 But I do not allow the woman to teach, or to usurp
authority over the man, but to be in silence. 3
13 For Ahdahm was first formed, then Chavah.
14 And Ahdahm was not deceived, but the woman being
deceived was in the transgression. 4
15 Notwithstanding shall be saved in the childbearing, if
She continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety (the particular woman definite article the particular woman in Timothy’s congregation, like Eve is deceived, she’s to learn in silence, be subject to congregational authority, not allowed to teach presently because she’d usurped authority, but she’ll be saved in THE childbearing of Messiah if she continues in the faith. This particular woman is to enter into a time of silent Hitbodedut under the tutelage of competent instructors.
Timteous beth 2:2 And the things that you have heard from me among
many witnesses, the same commit to other faithful people (anthropos a gender free term not aner – males)
who shall be able to teach others also.
Cor Aleph 14:34 Let your women (the woman) keep silent in the congregations: for it is not permitted for them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also says the Torah.
Let me know when you find that verse in Torah? Women were expected to be involved in synagogue worship, to take an active role.
Ppt. Phoebe a diakonos
This role doesn’t appear to be held by any males.
Priscilla is mentioned before her husband Aquila, she’s a fellow worker.
Rom 16:I commend to you Phoebe our Yisraelite sister, who is an diakonos of the congregation that is at Cenchrea: 2 That you receive her in vuvh, as becomes Yisraelite kidushim, and that you assist her in whatever business she has need of: for she has been a great help to many, and to
myself also.3 Greet Priscilla and Aqulas my helpers in Moshiach
gauvh: 4 Who have for my chayim laid down their own necks:
for whom not only I give hodu, but also all the congregations of the Yisraelite nations. 5 Likewise greet the congregation that is in their bayit. Greet my well beloved Epainetos, who is the bikkurim of Achayah to the Moshiach. 6 Greet Miryam, who worked very hard for us. 7 Greet Andronikos and Junia, my relatives, and my fellow prisoners, who are of note among the shlichim.
Junia/Iounia a woman not Junias a man! Outstanding among the apostles, i.e. she was an apostle.
Ma’aseh Schlichim 21:9 …Philip the Proclaimer, who was one of the seven;
and stayed with him.9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, who did prophesy.
Timteous Alef 3:1 This is a true saying, if a man desires the office of a
teaching-overseer, or shamesh, he desires a tov work.
This is a true saying if ei tis if any, if some, gender neutral, desires the office of a teaching overseer of shamesh she, epithymeo, a verb could be read either way, desires a good work.
You may cry authority, But Moshiach’s modes for authority is authority isn’t lauded over a person, scriptural authority is a willing submission of trust and voluntary endorsement birthed out of love not fear or religious coercion.
Women and sickness and disease, emotional and physical:
Disease doesn’t come without reason.
Mishle 26:2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so a
curse without cause shall not come.
Women who are never allowed to be who they were created to be, an Ezer Knegdo often times manifest pain in the fibrous tissues, muscles, tendons and ligaments and other connective tissues. Pain without swelling or inflammation as its cause. Women need to be nurtured into the role they were created to live in, the Ezer Knegdo; it’s almost unheard of for men to get these emotional based physical symptoms
From the medical journal: The condition occurs mainly in females…. primarily fibromyalgia syndrome is particularly and likely to occur in healthy young women who tend to be stressed, tense, depressed, anxious, and striving and driven.”
The spiritual root: not living as the Ezer Knegdo: result Fibromyalgia like symptoms which occur in women who receive little or no nurturing by their fathers or husbands and have unresolved emotional issues.
Yeshua and the Ezer Knegdo:
Matt 19:3The Prushim also came to Him, testing Him (Beit Shemmei, Beit Hillel), and saying to Him, Is it permitted in Torah for a man to put away his wife for any and every cause?(Beit Shimmei) 4 And He answered and said to them, Have you not read, that He who made them in Beresheeth made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave abba and eema, and shall cleave to his wife: and the two shall be one flesh?6 Therefore they are no more two, but basar echad. What therefore vuvh has joined together, let not man put
asunder. 7 They said to Him, Why did Moshe then command to give a Get, and to put her away? 8 He said to them, Moshe because of the hardness of your levavot allowed you to put away your wives: but from the beginning and from eternity 10 it was not so. 9 And I say to you, Whoever shall divorce his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery: and whoever marries her who has been divorced does commit adultery.
Divorce was permitted for the sake of the woman (because of the hardness of men’s hearts), the man unable to cleave to his wife and recognize her as the Ezer Kenegdo, never enables her to fulfill her role as guide, tutor and protector, this stifling misogynistic relationship then leaves her living life as the kNEGEDo – in the face of – instead of the Ezer – help. The only way she can blossom and fulfill her calling is to be let go – Rachamin for the woman!
If a woman is left in a marriage with children where the man does not support the Ezer Knegdo role, she’ll be tempted to try and fulfill the role in the children instead of the husband – a recipe for future suffering and disaster.
Husband’s wither, boys are unable to leave and cleave or they grow up resenting their mother and having little respect for their fathers.
Conclusion: Yeshua gives the answer. Go back to Genesis, husbands soften your hearts toward your Ezer Knegdo, cleave to her, allow her to guide, provide and protect you and sons reconcile with your mothers and fathers or the end result will be divorce. YHWH has put away the house of Israel before, Yeshua has made the way for us to return – now do your part and walk in forgiveness and reconciliation or risk being put away again after you have entered into Yeshua, then according to Deut 24 there’s no way of return.
