Acts 13 is a modern day call to those of us sitting in the midst of the rivers of Mystery Babylon. Right now you may not feel like singing a son in a foreign land...but this chapter reminds us not to forget Jerusalem and not to forget that יהוה is with us in all our troubles.
12:25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministration, taking with them John whose surname was Mark.
Ps. 137:1 By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down, yea, we wept, When we remembered Zion. 2 Upon the willows in the midst thereof We hanged up our harps. 3 For there they that led us captive required of us songs, And they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. 4 How shall we sing יהוהs song In a foreign land? 5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, Let my right hand forget her skill.
Acts 13 is a modern day call to those of us sitting in the midst of the rivers of Mystery Babylon. Right now you may not feel like singing a son in a foreign land…but this Chapter reminds us not to forget Jerusalem and not to forget that יהוה is with us in all our troubles.
Acts 13:1 And in Antioch some among the existing KAHAL were prophets and teachers. (such as Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, the foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. 2 As they ministered to יהוה and fasted, the RUACH HA KODESH said, So, then, separate Barnabas and Saul to Me for the work to which I have called them. 3 Then having fasted and prayed and laid hands on them, they let them go. 4 Then these indeed sent out by the RUACH HA KODESH went down to Seleucia. And from there they sailed to Cyprus. 5 And when they were at Salamis, they announced the Word of יהוה in the synagogues of the Jews. And they also had John to minister.
6 And when they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain conjurer, a false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar Jesus/Bariēsous/BarYesh-ua. 7 who was with the proconsul of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man. He called for Barnabas and Saul and asked to hear the Word of YAH. 8 But Elumas the wizard withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.
There always was a choice to be made between which Bar Jesus/Bariēsous/BarYesh-ua to follow!
One is syncretistic and seeks to turn its adherents away from the faith spoken of by Moshe – this Bar Jesus/Bariēsous/tends to attract NEW AGE – that’s mystics, wizards and witches who can mould Bar Jesus/Bariēsous into a secular styled mystic of emotion and imagination.
Act 13:9 Then Shaul, filled with the RUACH HA KODESH, set his eyes on him 10 and said, O son of the Devil, full of all deceit and all craftiness, enemy of all righteousness, will you not stop perverting the right ways of YHWH?
And there you have it…the conclusion of the new age Bar Jesus/Bariēsous results in deceit, craftiness and is in opposition to all righteousness – meaning the commandments of יהוה.
11 And now, behold, the hand of יהוה is on you. And you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a while. And immediately a mist and a darkness fell on him, and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 12 Then, seeing the thing happening, the proconsul believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Master.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work a anomia- iniquity.
Our culture as succumbed to secularism; holding to a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof: from these we MUST turn away. 2 Ti 3:5.
A mist and a darkness has befallen our world currently and the resulting cultural aftermath is where the majority of sheeple go about digitally seeking someone to lead them by the hand…they follow unquestioningly…they trust implicitly whatever is laid before their eyes and heard by their ears…
In contrast those who follow the true Bar Yesh-ua walk by faith, not by sight and are to be of good courage! 2 Co 5:7.
13 And Shaul and those around him sailed from Paphos and came to Perga of Pamphylia. And John left them and returned to Jerusalem. 14 But going through from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day and sat down. 15 And after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Men, brothers, if you have any word of comfort for the people, speak. 16 And rising up and signaling with his hand, Shaul said, Men, Israelites, and those YAH fearers, SHEMA/listen.
14 years after Tzepahyah’s address in Acts chapter 7 we see the Word doesn’t return void. This is a duplicate of Stephens address.
Why 14 years later if the Torah is done away with and we have the New Grace Deal are they still going to synagogue on Shabbat, still reading the Torah and Haftarah on the annual torah reading cycle and still seeking to gather in the YAH fearers into THE household of faith named…men, Israelites and YAH fearers SHEMA…in line with the call of Numbers 15:16 One law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for the YAH fearer that sojourneth with you.
17 The Elohim of this people Israel chose our fathers and exalted the people in their dwelling in the land of Egypt, and He brought them out of it with an outstretched arm.
Oh remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt for nought; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic. Num 11:5.
18 And about the time of forty years He tenderly bore them in the wilderness. 19 And when He had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave their land to them as an inheritance. 20 And after that He gave them judges for about four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet: 21 And afterward they asked for a king. And יהוה gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.Act 13:22 And when He had removed him, He raised up David to them to be their king; to whom He also witnessed and said, I have found David the son of Jesse to be a man after My own heart, who shall fulfill all My will.
Act 13:23 Of this man’s seed יהוה has raised to Israel, according to His promise, a Savior, Yahusha;
24 John having before proclaimed the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel, before His coming.
25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Who do you think that I am? I am not He. But behold, One comes after me, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to loose. 26
Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and whoever among you fears יהוה, the Word of this salvation is sent to you.
27 For those living in Jerusalem, and their rulers, not having known this One, and the voices of the Prophets being read throughout every sabbath, condemning Him, they fulfilled the Scriptures.
28 And finding not one cause of death in Him, they begged Pilate to do away with Him. 29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, taking Him down from the tree, they laid Him in a tomb. 30 But יהוה raised Him from the dead, 31 who appeared for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people. 32 And we preach the gospel to you, the promise made to the fathers,: 33 this יהוה has fulfilled to us their children, raising up Yahusha, as 33 also it is written in the second Psalm, “You are My Son, this day I have begotten You. 34 And that He raised Him up from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He spoke in this way: “I will give you the holy promises of David.” Act 13:35 Therefore he also says in another psalm, “You shall not allow Your Holy One to see corruption.” 36 For after he had served his own generation by the will of יהוה David fell asleep and was added to his fathers and saw corruption. 37 But He whom יהוה raised again saw no corruption.
No rigor-mortis Latin rigor-stiffness; mortis-of death:
Ps 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in the grave; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see decay.
King David body saw decay here in Acts 13:36. Yahusha’s body surely would have suffered rigor-mortis after 3 days!
What about Lazarus? ‘Master by this time he stinketh for he’s been dead 4 days.’
How can it be?
It can only be if Yahusha is 100% YHWH, 0%man, cloaked in humanity, yet not from humanities origins – dust!
He has to be the flesh and bone from heaven which would enable Him to transfigure our flesh too those who eat his flesh and drink His blood – the bone of heaven just as in Ex 24:10 and
Jn 6:41,58.
This what Paul speaks of to the Eph. in Eph. 3:8 as the unsearchable riches of Moshiach.
Or the bone from heaven: Exo. 24:10 And they saw the Elohim of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
עצם ‘etsem’ – a bone, the body; figuratively the substance of heaven.
Flesh and blood can’t inherit the Kingdom of Elohim!
Yahusha is the Mar Yah – the man from Elohim, His flesh, spirit and blood are from יהוה!
Prov. 8:23 Yahusha was not established in human flesh. He was established from everlasting before there was ever dust of the earth!
יהוה possessed me in the beginning of his way, Before his works of old. 23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, Before the earth was.
1 Cor 15:45 And so it is written, ‘The first man Adam became a living being’, the last Adam became a life giving ruach. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust, the second Man is the Master from heaven…
38 Therefore be it known to you, men, brothers, that through this One the forgiveness of sins is announced to you. 39 And by Him all who believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the Law of Moses.
Justification:
Rom. 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Noach found it (Gen. 6:8) ‘Hesed’ in the Hebrew, it appears 3X more in the OT than the New and it didn’t start with Jesus.
40 Therefore beware lest that come on you which is spoken of in the Prophets: 41 “Behold, you despisers, and marvel, and perish; for I work a work in your days, a work which you shall in no way believe, though a man declare it to you.”42 And the Jews having gone out of the synagogue, the nations begged that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. 43 And the synagogue being broken up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of יהוה .44 And on the coming sabbath day almost all the city came together to SHEMA the Word of YAH. Act 13:45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy and contradicted those things which were spoken by Shaul, contradicting and blaspheming. 46 But speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, It was necessary for the Word of YAH to be spoken to you first. But since indeed you put it far from you and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the nations. 47 For so the Master has commanded us, saying, “I have set You to be a light of the nations, for salvation to the end of the earth.” 48 And hearing, the nations rejoiced and glorified the Word of יהוה. And as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. 49 And the Word of יהוה was carried throughout all the country. 50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honorable women, and the chief ones of the city, and raised a persecution against Paul and Barnabas. And they threw them out of their borders. 51 But shaking the dust of their feet off on them, they came into Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Ruach Ha Kodesh.
